Five Minute Fandoms

Are you requesting a song, painting, movie poster or something else that people can pick up quickly? Or are there any of those you are hoping people will prompt for?

Review canon for the fandom we matched on. Write a very short treat to “warm up” in one of their other, 5-minute fandoms.

- Finish the draft for my second treat (~2k words)

Most of the rest of the writing will be done in December; orig fic for NaNo.

Come up with a vague outline or at least story idea so I'll know what to focus on in my canon review.

Review the prompts list and pick out some potential treats.

Finish all my outstanding stuff for other exchanges, so I can start brainstorming properly next week.

Coalies.

My longest ever non-NYR was 3k, and that was several years back. I haven't gone over 1.5k in the last few years. This year's assignment just flowed out in a day.

Over 4k.

I don't even know what happened.

Goals for Week Ending November 14

Do we have them?

Re: Goals for Week Ending November 14

(Anonymous) 2020-11-10 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
Personally I want to write at least half of my assignment, as I have now completed canon review.

first draft: done (:confetti!)
second draft: stalled. stalled. so stalled. aaaaaaaaah.

(in a first draft if you're stuck on a transition you can just be like "insert transition here" and proceed on your merry way to the next scene. GUESS WHO HAS TO DEAL WITH FIRST-DRAFT!YOU'S PROBLEMS? that's right, it's second-draft!you, staring blankly at the stupid missing transition that needs to happen and, just... isn't.)
