It's been treated as a given for years, but I honestly have to ask - what exactly are some of these canons that are big on FF.net and nonexistent on AO3? People always bring up the dread specter of anime megafandoms sneaking into Yuletide, but I don't see much risk of that. Most anime megafandoms are big on AO3, too, even if not as big. Even when you go to series that were more popular in FF.net's heyday than they were when AO3 rolled around, there's enough on AO3 alone to disqualify them. The only exception I see to that is Ranma 1/2 (~11k qualifying works on FF.net, 458 on AO3) and I don't really foresee Ranma breaking Yuletide in this day and age.
